Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Strong understanding of response-to-intervention (RTI), positive behavior supports, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
  • Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Experience developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Solid interpersonal and consultation skills for working collaboratively with teachers, staff, families, and students
  • Familiarity with federal and state special education regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students referred for evaluation
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and eligibility meetings
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Support a positive learning environment through proactive guidance and advocacy
