Position Overview

As the School Psychologist supporting the Child Find Team, you will play a vital role in identifying and evaluating students who may be eligible for special education services. You'll collaborate closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, comprehensive evaluations and appropriate recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the district's Child Find process.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred for special education services.
  • Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and provide recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, service providers, and families to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding psychological services and student needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of special education evaluation procedures and eligibility requirements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
