Make a genuine impact on students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being by serving as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. In this full-time contract role, you’ll deliver crucial support across a district, working closely with children, families, and an engaged educational team. Your expertise will inform the special education eligibility process, shape intervention strategies, and provide valuable consultation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to support student referrals
- Collaborate as a member of Multidisciplinary Teams to determine special education eligibility
- Interpret assessment data to inform and participate in IEP development
- Provide recommendations for behavioral intervention plans and tailored learning programs
- Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff on student needs and progress
- Offer guidance on learning styles, academic challenges, and behavioral concerns
- Facilitate collaboration with outside agencies and medical providers to support students holistically
- Support crisis intervention program development and implementation
- Deliver individual training, support, and consultation to students, families, and staff
- Remain compliant with state and federal special education regulations
- Pursue professional development and contribute to ongoing departmental growth
- Attend meetings and fulfill related duties as needed by district leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s, Ed.S., or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Valid (or eligible) Nebraska Special Services Certificate
- School Psychology Endorsement for Nebraska or eligibility via reciprocity
- Deep understanding of IDEA, special education eligibility, and IEP procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in psychoeducational assessments and professional report writing
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit
