You’ll collaborate as a core member of the Child Study Team, working with approximately 40 students in grades 6-8. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in evaluating student needs, developing effective interventions, and supporting a positive school climate. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, allowing you to maintain balance and consistency throughout the assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid NJ School Psychologist certification required
  • Experience in school psychology, particularly with middle school students
  • Strong understanding of child development, assessment, and educational planning
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with IEP development, counseling, and eligibility determination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations
  • Work closely with the Child Study Team to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement intervention plans and behavior strategies
  • Provide counseling and guidance to students, supporting academic and social-emotional growth
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to families and staff
