Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (as required by state regulations)
- Graduate degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience providing assessments, counseling, and consultative services in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
- Provide direct and indirect counseling and intervention services for students, as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to design individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expert recommendations on student progress and support strategies
- Deliver crisis intervention and develop preventive mental health programs within the school environment
- Support efforts to improve student behavior, engagement, and achievement
