Job Type Contract

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by taking on a flexible, contract opportunity as a school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This role runs from August 4, 2026, to June 30, 2027, providing per-evaluation, as-needed services to support special education teams by evaluating student eligibility, particularly for Autism and EMD.

You’ll focus on assessments and critical re-evaluations for a minimum of 4–5 students per school year, with locations spread across three buildings—each equipped with designated testing rooms for your convenience. Assessment logistics are streamlined by a qualified psychometrist who handles most routine testing, freeing you to concentrate on areas where your expertise is needed most. Reports can be written remotely, and IEP meeting attendance offers flexibility for in-person or virtual participation. Training on the SPED Track IEP system will be provided.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Mississippi teaching certificate prior to performing evaluations
  • Experience with eligibilities for Autism and EMD (Essential Multiple Disabilities)
  • Strong background in school-based psychological assessments and report writing
  • Understanding of IEP processes for special education
  • Self-motivation, organization, and the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Willingness to travel between school buildings as needed

Role Highlights:

  • Opportunity to provide expert evaluations on a flexible, per-diem schedule
  • No minimum weekly commitment; you’ll be called upon as needs arise
  • Remote report writing option for work-life balance
  • Direct collaboration with a skilled psychometrist for efficient workflow
  • Per-evaluation compensation, depending on your experience

Step into this impactful position where your specialized skills can foster better outcomes for students while offering you a balanced, adaptable workload. If you’re an experienced school psychologist ready for a rewarding challenge, we encourage you to apply today and make a difference this school year!
