Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ academic and emotional growth as a contract School Psychologist in the Port Deposit and Elkton, MD areas. Two positions are available, both serving elementary and middle school populations. The assignment runs from now through mid-June, offering an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative and student-focused environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid MSDE School Psychologist certification required
- Experience working with both elementary and middle school students preferred
- Familiarity with psychoeducational evaluations and IEP/504 procedures
- Willingness to work onsite (in-person is preferred)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and counseling skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students (approx. 70 evaluations per year, caseload size may vary)
- Provide individual and group counseling to identified students as part of their special education support
- Participate in MTSS meetings, IEP team meetings, and 504 meetings, contributing expertise in assessment and intervention planning
- Maintain professional documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
- Work closely with educators, families, and service providers to support student success
Schedule/Environment:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Elementary shift: 8:15am – 3:45pm; Secondary shift: 7:30am – 3:00pm
- School supplies laptop and essential materials for the role
