Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ academic and emotional growth as a contract School Psychologist in the Port Deposit and Elkton, MD areas. Two positions are available, both serving elementary and middle school populations. The assignment runs from now through mid-June, offering an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative and student-focused environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid MSDE School Psychologist certification required
  • Experience working with both elementary and middle school students preferred
  • Familiarity with psychoeducational evaluations and IEP/504 procedures
  • Willingness to work onsite (in-person is preferred)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and counseling skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students (approx. 70 evaluations per year, caseload size may vary)
  • Provide individual and group counseling to identified students as part of their special education support
  • Participate in MTSS meetings, IEP team meetings, and 504 meetings, contributing expertise in assessment and intervention planning
  • Maintain professional documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
  • Work closely with educators, families, and service providers to support student success

Schedule/Environment:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Elementary shift: 8:15am – 3:45pm; Secondary shift: 7:30am – 3:00pm
  • School supplies laptop and essential materials for the role
