Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Valid state certification or license as a school psychologist
  • Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Expertise in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
  • Strong consultation skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Up-to-date understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to special education
  • Compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ educational and social-emotional needs
  • Develop intervention strategies to address academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to establish effective support systems
  • Provide counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
  • Design and implement prevention programs that promote positive school climate and student well-being
