Put your expertise as a School Psychologist to meaningful use in a small, close-knit district located near Port Orchard, WA. This full-time, onsite contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with supportive staff across both elementary and middle school settings.

As a valued part of the educational team, you’ll provide a range of psychological services and make a real impact on students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The district is open to both local and traveling professionals, as long as you’re eligible for Washington certification through OSPI.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Current or eligibility for School Psychologist certification in Washington State via OSPI
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in school-based settings (elementary and/or middle school preferred)
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention, counseling, consultation, and working with diverse student populations
  • Ability to work full-time, onsite (40 hours per week) with no hybrid option
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement appropriate interventions and supports
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on eligibility and programming
  • Offer individual and group counseling as needed
  • Support crisis intervention procedures in alignment with district protocols
  • Promote positive behavioral interventions and contribute to school-wide initiatives supporting student well-being
