Key Qualifications:

  • Valid school psychologist licensure in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience with psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and IEP processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse student populations
  • Collaborative approach with staff, students, and parents/guardians
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans
  • Proficiency in handling confidential information professionally

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students
  • Interpret assessment results and make data-driven recommendations
  • Participate in the development, review, and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling services, crisis intervention, and consultative support
  • Serve as a key member of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating on student support strategies
  • Guide staff in understanding learning and behavior challenges
  • Deliver in-service training or consultations to educators and parents as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local and state guidelines
