This contract position, located near Potsdam, NY, focuses not only on conducting standard school psychologist assessments but also emphasizes direct support in the classroom through proactive behavior consultation. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret findings to inform educational planning
• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to develop effective, individualized education plans
• Offer consultation and support to teachers and school staff regarding best practices for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
• Observe classrooms, monitor student behavior, and design personalized support strategies
• Assist with crisis intervention and help cultivate a safe, positive school climate
• Utilize data-driven methodologies to monitor and track student progress, making recommendations to support ongoing achievement

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in School Psychology required
• Valid New York School Psychologist Certification
• Experience working in K–12 educational environments preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
