Step into a pivotal support role serving K-12 students across multiple school sites with a flexible, part-time contract opportunity as a School Psychologist. This contract position starts July 27, 2026, and runs through May 24, 2027, with a couple of paid professional development days kicking off your experience.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Louisiana DOE certification in School Psychology
- Strong grasp of psychoeducational evaluations and knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) compliance
- Experience interpreting assessment data and crafting thorough evaluation reports
- Empathy and skill in communicating assessment results clearly to families, educators, and school staff
- Familiarity with special education eligibility criteria and effective multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet evaluation timelines
- Experience partnering with educational diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and administrators
- Bilingual skills are highly valued
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify student needs and develop actionable intervention plans
- Collaborate with district staff and parents to interpret assessment data and plan student programs
- Provide information and referrals for families to connect with community resources
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and trainings, supporting ongoing professional growth across the district
- Prepare, maintain, and submit case records and required reports within established deadlines
- Explain assessment processes and interventions to students, families, and staff
- Travel to multiple campuses to address a diverse caseload across PK-12 populations
- Support compliance efforts through diligent documentation and adherence to district standards
