Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Valid NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
• Demonstrated expertise in psychoeducational evaluations and compliance with IDEA
• Skilled in interpreting assessment data and writing comprehensive reports
• Strong understanding of special education eligibility criteria and multidisciplinary processes
• Ability to clearly communicate results and recommendations to parents, educators, and school staff
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet required timelines
• Collaborative approach with educators, social workers, SLPs, and administrators
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth educational assessments and provide timely, written evaluation reports
• Refer students and families to community resources as appropriate
• Engage directly with students and families using approved educational strategies
• Foster relationships with school staff to implement effective interventions
• Consult with parents, teachers, and district professionals on assessment, interventions, and strategies
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation
• Participate in in-service training and staff development sessions
• Clearly explain assessment processes and results to stakeholders
• Select and administer appropriate assessment tools to inform educational planning
