Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility) in Rhode Island
- Demonstrated experience with assessments, counseling, and interventions in PK-12 environments
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development and compliance
- Excellent communication abilities to engage with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and professional integrity
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including evaluations, behavioral interventions, and direct counseling
- Administer standardized tests and interpret results to inform educational decisions
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to design effective strategies supporting student needs
- Consult with school teams and provide recommendations for academic and behavioral programming
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing thorough and timely documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
