Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid and current School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility) in Rhode Island
  • Demonstrated experience with assessments, counseling, and interventions in PK-12 environments
  • Strong knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development and compliance
  • Excellent communication abilities to engage with students, staff, and families
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and professional integrity

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including evaluations, behavioral interventions, and direct counseling
  • Administer standardized tests and interpret results to inform educational decisions
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to design effective strategies supporting student needs
  • Consult with school teams and provide recommendations for academic and behavioral programming
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing thorough and timely documentation
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth
