Make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys by providing critical psychological support and guidance across all grade levels as a district-wide school psychologist. This contract role, extending from late August through mid-June, offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in four buildings, ensuring every student from kindergarten to high school receives the support they need for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop effective intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments for all students
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and recommend adjustments to interventions when needed
  • Offer crisis intervention, consultation, and recommendations regarding student support services
  • Support staff training and professional development related to mental health and behavioral interventions

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Vermont School Psychologist Certificate required
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and special education processes
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school buildings
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive environments for all students

This is a full-time contract (35-37.5 hours per week) spanning the academic year. You will be able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while making a real difference district-wide.
