Key Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State Psychologist license/certification, or willingness to obtain before the start date
  • Proven experience, education, and training in school psychology
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention for elementary-aged students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and administrators
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to cultural competency and fostering inclusive, supportive school communities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students in grades K-5
  • Develop and implement individualized interventions and strategies to support social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with staff to create positive behavior plans and support student participation in the classroom
  • Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators on student needs and progress
  • Deliver direct counseling services and crisis intervention as necessary
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and other collaborative efforts to champion student success
