School Psych - Queens Village, New York

A K-12 school in Queens Village, NY is seeking two experienced School Psychologists to support students during maternity leave coverage. These contract positions provide an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and learning in a dynamic, diverse educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students across K-12 grade levels.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions.
• Provide counseling and support services to students to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification/license for New York State.
• Experience working in a K-12 school environment.
• Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse student populations and school personnel.
• Ability to deliver services with sensitivity and cultural competence.

Contract Details:

• Location: Queens Village, NY.
• Assignment: Leave coverage for maternity leave.
• Duration: Starting in January, 8 to 12 weeks.
