A K-12 school in Queens Village, NY is seeking two experienced School Psychologists to support students during maternity leave coverage. These contract positions provide an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student well-being and learning in a dynamic, diverse educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students across K-12 grade levels.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions.
- Provide counseling and support services to students to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license for New York State.
- Experience working in a K-12 school environment.
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse student populations and school personnel.
- Ability to deliver services with sensitivity and cultural competence.
Contract Details:
- Location: Queens Village, NY.
- Assignment: Leave coverage for maternity leave.
- Duration: Starting in January, 8 to 12 weeks.
