Qualifications:

  • Current and valid School Psychologist certification and license in North Carolina
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students in public or charter schools
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Expertise in conducting educational and psychological evaluations
  • Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt evaluation techniques for diverse populations and varying grade levels

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments for K-12 students, identifying learning, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Interpret assessment results, writing clear and actionable reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop appropriate intervention strategies and IEPs
  • Participate in eligibility determination and referral processes
  • Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding student needs and best practices
  • Maintain accurate records consistent with legal and ethical guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment for students of all backgrounds
