Your day-to-day will combine assessment, consultation, and intervention as you partner with teachers and families to promote the academic, social, and emotional success of young learners.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or credential as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience working with TK-5 age groups strongly preferred
• Familiarity with a diversity of Special Day Classrooms and support models
• Demonstrated ability to conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
• Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to varied instructional and behavioral support needs

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and observations for referred students
• Consult with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents to develop tailored interventions and supports
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations
• Offer crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
• Collaborate to design and implement strategies that remove barriers to learning
• Monitor student progress and adjust services as necessary

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate between $55 and $65, giving you flexibility while impacting your local school community in the Rancho Cordova area.
