This contract opportunity focuses on enhancing student well-being and promoting positive learning environments across a variety of settings, including TK/K SDC classrooms, learning support rooms, and moderate SDC classrooms.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential
- Experience working with elementary age groups (TK-5 preferred)
- Background in special education or supporting students in SDC and learning support settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to conduct assessments, deliver counseling services, and write comprehensive reports
- Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and individualized education programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and guide intervention planning
- Provide direct counseling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and monitor IEPs for students in TK/K SDC, learning support, and moderate SDC classrooms
- Support classroom staff with strategies for academic and behavioral success
- Participate in and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expertise on student behavior, learning, and mental health
- Deliver training and resources to school personnel and families on strategies for supporting student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $55 to $65, reflecting your expertise and commitment to student outcomes.
