Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist supporting students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. This assignment offers the chance to make a significant difference in a dynamic educational setting near Rancho Cordova, CA. You'll collaborate with educators and families across a spectrum of classroom environments, including TK/K SDC classrooms, learning support classrooms, and moderate SDC classrooms, ensuring students receive the individualized support they need.

In this role, you'll earn between $55 and $65 an hour while utilizing your expertise to foster positive educational and emotional outcomes for young learners.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid school psychologist credential issued by the state of California
  • Master’s or specialist degree in school psychology or a related field
  • Previous experience evaluating and supporting students in TK-5, particularly in SDC and learning support settings
  • Strong understanding of special education processes, assessment tools, and IEP development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual educational and psychological assessments for students in a variety of classroom environments
  • Support the development and implementation of IEPs
  • Work closely with TK-5 staff to create intervention strategies and monitor progress
  • Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and parents regarding students’ learning and behavioral needs
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and offer insights for student success
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records consistent with district and state requirements
