Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia School Psychologist License required
  • Previous experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to handle a variety of assessments, interventions, and counseling responsibilities
  • Comfort with diverse student populations and managing an elementary caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Deliver consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student behavioral and academic needs
  • Develop individualized intervention strategies to enhance students’ academic, emotional, and social development
  • Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling services as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation and abide by confidentiality regulations and district policies
  • Engage in preventative services such as staff training, workshops, and proactive behavioral supports
