Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia School Psychologist License required
- Previous experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to handle a variety of assessments, interventions, and counseling responsibilities
- Comfort with diverse student populations and managing an elementary caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student behavioral and academic needs
- Develop individualized intervention strategies to enhance students’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling services as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation and abide by confidentiality regulations and district policies
- Engage in preventative services such as staff training, workshops, and proactive behavioral supports
