Qualifications & Experience:

• Active School Psychologist certification in Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience with comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
• Strong skills in counseling, consultation, and conflict resolution
• Proficiency in collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of special education processes, including IEP and 504 plans
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Interpret results and collaborate on the development and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
• Support teachers and staff with strategies to promote positive student behavior and learning environments
• Attend eligibility, IEP meetings, and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
• Maintain thorough, confidential records and relevant documentation
• Advocate for students’ well-being and educational access
