As a School Psychologist for the Promising Students Program, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive, trauma-informed behavioral and mental health interventions. This role focuses on early intervention, fostering emotional resilience, and helping students build essential problem-solving and interpersonal skills that support academic achievement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid School Psychologist credential/certification (state eligibility required)
  • Demonstrated experience with behavioral counseling and trauma-informed care
  • Skilled in conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Knowledge of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) process
  • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
  • Strong communication and consultation skills for teamwork with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to contribute meaningfully to IEP and Section 504 meetings

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and small-group counseling
  • Perform comprehensive educational and behavioral evaluations
  • Complete FBAs and help develop & monitor BIPs
  • Support the MTSS framework across the district
  • Partner with staff and caregivers to strengthen student support
  • Play an active role in crisis response and safety planning
  • Develop detailed transition plans for student reintegration
