As a School Psychologist for the Promising Students Program, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive, trauma-informed behavioral and mental health interventions. What you’ll bring:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/certification (state eligibility required)
- Demonstrated experience with behavioral counseling and trauma-informed care
- Skilled in conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
- Knowledge of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) process
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Strong communication and consultation skills for teamwork with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to IEP and Section 504 meetings
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and small-group counseling
- Perform comprehensive educational and behavioral evaluations
- Complete FBAs and help develop & monitor BIPs
- Support the MTSS framework across the district
- Partner with staff and caregivers to strengthen student support
- Play an active role in crisis response and safety planning
- Develop detailed transition plans for student reintegration
