School Psychologist | Ridgeland, South Carolina

Make a positive, lasting impact supporting students’ growth and well-being as a School Psychologist in a dynamic contract role near Ridgeland, SC. You'll have the opportunity to work within the Promising Students Program (PSP), offering trauma-informed care and targeted behavioral and mental health services to students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Your expertise will be vital to helping students thrive academically and personally by promoting emotional regulation, positive relationships, and academic success through early intervention and thoughtful guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small-group counseling to meet students’ diverse needs
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
• Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to inform strategies
• Help develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Support school-wide behavioral initiatives and MTSS processes
• Serve as a resource and consultant for teachers and families
• Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings as a key team member
• Contribute to crisis response and school safety planning
• Design transitional plans for students reintegrating into their home schools

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or license as a School Psychologist
• Proven experience in school-based behavioral and counseling services
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and data-driven interventions
• Familiarity with conducting evaluations, FBAs, and developing BIPs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for helping students overcome behavioral and emotional barriers
• Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours weekly
