Two contract positions are available for the upcoming academic year, providing crucial psychological services to K-12 students across multiple sites in Northwestern Illinois. One role is based on a single campus, while the other offers the opportunity to travel as an itinerant psychologist among several schools. Bilingual (Spanish/English) professionals are strongly encouraged to apply, though fluency in both languages is not required.

As a valued team member, you’ll:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in grades K-12
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create safe, inclusive learning environments
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Serve as an advocate for student needs and a resource for staff
  • Offer direct counseling and crisis support when needed
  • Deliver support services both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding psychological and behavioral challenges
  • Work a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistent, high-quality support

Key qualifications include:

  • Valid Illinois PEL with School Psychology endorsement (K-12)
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish is highly preferred but not required
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to serving diverse school communities
