Two contract positions are available for the upcoming academic year, providing crucial psychological services to K-12 students across multiple sites in Northwestern Illinois. One role is based on a single campus, while the other offers the opportunity to travel as an itinerant psychologist among several schools. Bilingual (Spanish/English) professionals are strongly encouraged to apply, though fluency in both languages is not required.
As a valued team member, you’ll:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in grades K-12
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create safe, inclusive learning environments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Serve as an advocate for student needs and a resource for staff
- Offer direct counseling and crisis support when needed
- Deliver support services both one-on-one and in group settings
- Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding psychological and behavioral challenges
- Work a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistent, high-quality support
Key qualifications include:
- Valid Illinois PEL with School Psychology endorsement (K-12)
- Master’s degree in School Psychology
- Bilingual ability in Spanish is highly preferred but not required
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
