Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan School Psychologist certification required
- Background in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
- Experience assisting with classroom or student observations
- Proven ability to perform comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations
- Skilled in contributing to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student community
Core Responsibilities:
- Observe students in educational settings to assess learning, behavior, and emotional needs
- Carry out detailed evaluations and interpret findings to guide instructional and intervention plans
- Participate and collaborate actively in IEP meetings as an essential team member
- Conduct FBAs to develop meaningful behavior intervention strategies
- Provide clear recommendations to teachers, families, and administrators
- Maintain detailed, confidential records and reporting in compliance with school and state requirements
