A dynamic school district is seeking a dedicated, full-time School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist
- Previous school-based experience (K-12 preferred, but all backgrounds considered)
- Strong understanding of special education processes, including evaluations and IEPs
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Flexible and willing to tailor services to different grade levels as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, initial assessments, re-evaluations, and contribute expert insights to the IEP process
- Collaborate with fellow school psychologists, teachers, administrators, and families to develop comprehensive support strategies
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive school environment
- Maintain detailed and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Advocate for students’ academic and emotional well-being district-wide
