Key Qualifications:

  • Valid NY State School Psychologist Certification (required)
  • Experience working within K-12 educational settings
  • Proficiency in conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) frameworks
  • Strong skills in counseling students and families
  • Experience administering standardized and specialized testing
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, though not required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological services to a diverse K-12 caseload
  • Conduct individual initial assessments and re-evaluations to identify student needs
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement and monitor MTSS strategies
  • Provide direct counseling sessions, supporting students’ academic and emotional growth
  • Interpret testing data and communicate findings effectively to school teams and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all evaluations, meetings, and services provided
  • Serve as a valuable resource in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
