This contract position begins with orientation between August 25-27, with the first student day on September 3 and concludes on June 24. Essential Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Solid understanding of childhood development and behavioral science
- Proficiency with diagnostic assessment and interpretation relevant to school populations
- Familiarity with learning processes, instructional interventions, and the assessment of their effectiveness, particularly within RTI (Response to Intervention) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies tailored to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to design and adjust individualized education plans
- Support the implementation and evaluation of RTI and MTSS practices throughout the school community
- Provide direct counseling and consultative services to students and families as needed
- Work actively with staff teams to foster a positive, supportive learning environment
