School Psychologist - Rockwell, NC

Empower students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally as a valued School Psychologist on a collaborative, supportive team. As a contract professional serving PreK–12 students across a diverse district, you’ll deliver services that make a measurable impact on children’s lives.

Your role encompasses consultation, direct counseling, and crisis intervention, working closely with teachers, school staff, and families to meet student needs in dynamic school environments. You’ll conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, participate in multidisciplinary teams, offer training to staff, and provide expertise in Special Education and mental health support. Conferences with parents and individualized consultation ensure each student’s needs are addressed holistically. All services for this assignment are onsite at various campuses, and you’ll be a crucial part of a district-wide effort supporting educational success from the ground up.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Possess an active NCDPI School Psychologist license (must attach proof)
• Demonstrated experience with ECATS (Special Education platform)
• Prior roles in PreK–12 educational settings preferred
• Strong background in psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention
• Expertise collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams and engaging families

Responsibilities:

• Consult and counsel students, providing direct mental health interventions and support
• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of disabilities
• Participate on district-level teams to inform best practices and intervention strategies
• Facilitate parent conferences and staff training sessions
• Tackle crisis response and support students’ social-emotional learning
• Assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support comprehensive student services

This full-time position runs from early August through late May, providing the structure of the academic year.
