Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist in California
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Experience with assessments, counseling, consultation, and intervention in K-12 settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, Response to Intervention (RTI), and special education laws
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for students referred for special education services and interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional needs
- Consult with school staff and families regarding student performance, classroom strategies, and inclusive practices
- Support crisis intervention efforts and help create a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate documentation compliant with all state and federal guidelines
