School Psychologist in Round Lake, IL

A dynamic school district is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional for a full-time, in-person contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role spans across an entire district, offering a unique chance to support diverse school communities and partner closely with educators, families, and fellow specialists.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in educational psychology or related field
• Completion of at least one year of internship under a credentialed school psychologist
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support student learning and behavioral needs
• Deliver direct counseling services, crisis intervention, and consult with teachers and families
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, developing recommendations and individualized plans
• Provide expertise in data interpretation to promote positive academic and social outcomes
• Design and implement prevention and intervention programs at the student, classroom, and school-wide levels
• Assist with district-wide initiatives to foster safe, healthy, and supportive school climates
