Certified Elementary School Psychologist in Rutland, VT

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid school psychologist certification and state licensure
• Experience supporting students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Skilled in psychoeducational assessment, intervention planning, and crisis response
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Comfortable leading group counseling sessions and conducting individual student evaluations
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Familiarity with special education services and IEP processes is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies that promote academic success and well-being
• Consult with teachers and staff to adapt instructional methods and classroom environments
• Participate in school-based support and multidisciplinary teams to design individualized educational plans
• Deliver direct counseling services and crisis intervention when needed
• Support and guide families, empowering them with resources and recommendations
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided
