Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification (California credentials required)
  • Experience or strong interest in preschool assessment and early childhood intervention
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP process, and special education procedures
  • Strong abilities in conducting evaluations, interpreting assessments, and delivering recommendations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude with a compassionate approach to working with young students and their families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and re-evaluations for preschool students
  • Interpret evaluation results for multidisciplinary teams and families to support IEP development
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP planning, and progress monitoring
  • Provide consultation and support for teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral, social, and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies for students as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to district and legal guidelines
