Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (California credentials required)
- Experience or strong interest in preschool assessment and early childhood intervention
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP process, and special education procedures
- Strong abilities in conducting evaluations, interpreting assessments, and delivering recommendations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Positive attitude with a compassionate approach to working with young students and their families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and re-evaluations for preschool students
- Interpret evaluation results for multidisciplinary teams and families to support IEP development
- Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP planning, and progress monitoring
- Provide consultation and support for teachers, staff, and families regarding behavioral, social, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to district and legal guidelines
