This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise as a School Psychologist supporting students from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. Located in the Sacramento, CA area, this role focuses on a diverse range of special education settings, including TK/K Special Day Classes (SDC), learning support classrooms, and moderate SDC classrooms. You will work closely with educators, parents, and administrators to provide comprehensive psychological services tailored to young learners' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret findings to support timely and appropriate academic interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services for students within TK-5 age groups
  • Monitor student progress and adjust supports as necessary to promote academic and social success
  • Offer consultation and training to educators and families on behavioral and emotional strategies

Qualifications:

  • Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with TK-5 age group in special education environments, including SDC and learning support settings
  • Strong background in psychoeducational assessment and behavioral consultation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, and school personnel
  • Familiarity with current special education laws and regulations

Location: Sacramento, California — this role requires on-site presence within local school settings to ensure direct engagement with students and teams.

Compensation & Contract Type: This is a contract role with an hourly rate between $55 and $65, providing flexibility and competitive pay.
