Qualifications:
- Valid state license/certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience working within a school setting preferred
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments, interpret test results, and provide recommendations
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and knowledge of relevant laws/policies
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students’ cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop effective interventions
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to interventions as appropriate
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff regarding student mental health and behavioral strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records according to school and legal requirements
