Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a full-time School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 school year. In this role, you'll serve across two locations, providing guidance, assessment, and intervention plans to help students reach their academic and behavioral potential.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited program required
- Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) or valid National Certified School Psychologist certification needed
- Experience with research-based assessment tools and academic/behavioral intervention structures
- Strong understanding of federal and state special education regulations, including IDEA, 504, and child find requirements
- Ability to develop, implement, and support focused plans for student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop targeted Behavior Intervention Plans for students
- Guide and consult with parents/guardians following student evaluations and provide insight into effective strategies at home and school
- Report and interpret test and observational data to the IEP Team for referred students
- Assist in the disability identification process and help determine eligibility for special education services
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings, including scheduling and communicating with staff and families as needed
- Deliver direct counseling services, both one-on-one and in groups, to address academic, emotional, social, and behavioral challenges
- Consult with teachers on individual learning and behavioral concerns, supporting their classroom strategies
- Work alongside the School Support Team to analyze data and implement Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) interventions
- Collaborate with school and community agencies to enhance support for students and families
