Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited program
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or valid National Certified School Psychologist certification
  • Proficiency in research-based assessment and evaluation tools
  • Understanding of special education rules, including IDEA and Section 504
  • Knowledge of multi-tiered intervention systems and student support models

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Consult with parents/guardians regarding evaluations and support strategies
  • Present assessment data to IEP teams and guide eligibility decisions
  • Coordinate and lead IEP team meetings, serve as LEA representative as needed
  • Provide individual and group counseling for academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with faculty on classroom management and support accommodations
  • Participate in MTSS and coordinate with community agencies for student support
