Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or National Certified School Psychologist credential
• Strong background in research-based assessment measures
• Experience with federal/state special education regulations (IDEA, 504, “child find”)
• Capable of developing academic and behavioral support plans

Key Responsibilities

• Guide student teams for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
• Consult with and provide resources to parents and guardians
• Present assessment data to IEP teams and assist in determining special education needs
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings
• Deliver individual and group counseling for students with adjustment challenges
• Collaborate with teachers to address academic or behavioral concerns and set up management programs
• Participate in School Support Teams to implement MTSS strategies
• Connect students and families with local community resources
