This contract position is based on-site, serving schools in the greater Saint Louis area, with likely assignments in Florissant, MO. The role begins as soon as possible and continues through late May, working predominantly across two schools.

In this position, you’ll collaborate with educators and support staff to provide crucial special education evaluations for a diverse student population. The typical caseload includes working with 8-10 students or cases at any given time, averaging 32 evaluations annually, though both part-time and short-term contracts can be accommodated for the right candidate.

Key qualifications:

  • Hold an active Missouri Department of Education (DOE) School Psychologist certification.
  • Experience or strong interest in K-12 settings and Child Find processes.
  • Special education evaluation skills, including collaboration on IEP teams.
  • Ability to work on-site and adapt to assignments across campuses as needed.
  • Meet all district onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting (submit TCN number) and completion of required district technology forms.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret comprehensive psychological assessments for special education eligibility.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, contributing thorough and clear reports.
  • Help guide instructional interventions and support plans based on assessment results.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district and legal standards.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and district personnel.

Contract details include 37.5 hours per week and the chance to positively impact students across varied grade levels. Full-time placement is preferred, but outstanding part-time or short-term professionals will be considered.
