Step into a dynamic and rewarding school year as a School Psychologist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time, contract position focuses on providing crucial psychological services within an engaging, onsite-only environment. The role will involve itinerant travel between assigned schools in a vibrant educational community located near Saint Simons Island, GA.
Beginning August 6th, 2026, and concluding May 26th, 2027, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster academic, social, and emotional growth for students throughout the district. Your expertise will be pivotal in conducting re-evaluations, offering guidance, and executing best practices tailored to individual student needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid and current PSYCH credentials/license required
- Demonstrated experience as a School Psychologist working within K-12 settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological evaluation tools, interventions, and special education procedures
- Comfortable serving an itinerant caseload across multiple school sites
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
Responsibilities Include:
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments and re-evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor interventions and support plans for students
- Provide consultation and resources for teachers and families regarding student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive special education services
- Travel between school locations as needed to ensure continuity of care and support
