Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Arts, Science, or Education
  • Current certification as a School Psychologist (or working toward certification)
  • Minimum of three years’ experience providing psychological services to students across K-12
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnostics, evaluation, and counseling

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students referred by parents or school administrators, ensuring clear, timely reporting
  • Meet with families to discuss evaluation results and recommendations
  • Perform classroom observations and age-appropriate assessments, including those for kindergarten
  • Serve as a resource to staff on diagnosis, learning needs, and specialized interventions
  • Participate as an active member of CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees
  • Support crisis response by providing student counseling and consultation to colleagues
  • Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Facilitate referrals to external agencies based on student needs
  • Handle additional related duties assigned by the Director of Special Education
