A contracted position is available for a School Psychologist to support an elementary school setting in Santa Ana, CA for the current school year.
This role requires a valid State of California PPS credential as a School Psychologist and experience working with elementary-age students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in assessment, counseling, behavioral observations, and supervision of aides. Building respectful, positive relationships with parents and families is essential to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological testing and assessments for elementary students
- Provide counseling services to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Perform classroom and behavioral observations to inform interventions
- Supervise and support aides assisting with student services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to develop individualized education plans and behavioral supports
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid PPS credential as a School Psychologist in California
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged children in educational settings
- Ability to engage effectively with parents and maintain positive family-school collaboration
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing instruments and counseling techniques
- Excellent observational and documentation skills
