Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license, appropriate for California
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or closely related field
- Experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments and developing IEPs
- Strong understanding of behavioral interventions and effective counseling strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in school settings
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and evaluations to support student learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective support plans
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Assist with the creation and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough, confidential documentation and reports
- Offer expert advice on educational and behavioral interventions
- Support and empower students to overcome academic and social-emotional barriers
