Step into an engaging and impactful role supporting students and teams in two dynamic educational environments for the 2024-2025 school year. This contract position offers an opportunity to split your expertise between an Early Childhood Center (serving all preschool and kindergarten students) and a specialized elementary program tailored for students with autism and developmental disabilities (grades K-5, across three classrooms). Located near Schaumburg, IL, this full-time assignment is structured as 3.5 days spent at the Early Childhood Center and 1.5 days supporting the specialized program.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschool, kindergarten, and/or elementary-aged children
  • Knowledge of effective interventions for students with autism and developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Ability to manage a split schedule across two programs
  • Strong collaboration, assessment, and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, developmentally appropriate educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to guide interventions and supports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, specialized staff, and families, to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Offer consultation and resources for classroom staff for social-emotional learning, behavioral interventions, and academic support
  • Support early intervention strategies and evidence-based practices for students with diverse needs
  • Attend team meetings, participate in eligibility determinations, and provide crisis support as needed
