This opportunity is tailored for a dedicated school psychologist who will split their expertise between an innovative early childhood center and a specialized elementary program that serves students with autism and developmental disabilities.

As a vital member of the educational team, you’ll spend 3.5 days each week at the Early Childhood Center, focusing on preschool and kindergarten students, and 1.5 days within a supportive, close-knit elementary setting designed for students in grades K-5 with specialized needs. This balanced, full-time role offers the chance to collaborate closely with teachers and multidisciplinary professionals in both environments, impacting young learners during their formative years.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement required
• Experience working in early childhood settings, with knowledge of developmental milestones
• Familiarity with students with autism and developmental disabilities highly preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and consultation
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs and behavioral interventions
• Provide direct support and counseling to students as needed
• Consult with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support transitions and programming for students with autism and developmental disabilities
