Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at improving student outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid New York State School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and behavioral interventions.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other special education laws.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel to multiple school sites within the designated area.
