With a manageable caseload of approximately 43 students, your focus will span general education students receiving speech services and two self-contained foundational skills classrooms serving students with intellectual disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology (required)
- Current and valid certification/licensure to practice as a School Psychologist in Arizona
- Previous experience working with elementary and middle school students (K-8)
- Proficiency conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and delivering consultative services
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, particularly within multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion and experience working with both general education students and those with intellectual disabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide recommendations as part of the special education eligibility process
- Deliver direct and consultative services to general education students receiving speech therapy, as well as students in two foundational skills classrooms
- Develop, review, and help implement IEPs
- Facilitate behavioral interventions and support positive student outcomes
- Participate actively in team meetings, providing expertise in assessment results and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with faculty, families, and related service providers to promote students’ academic and social-emotional growth
