Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New York State (NYS) Certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s Degree in Psychology
- Previous experience working with adolescents, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in conducting psychometric assessments
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including testing and diagnostic examinations
- Provide therapy and counseling services for students in grades 6-12
- Participate in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for student support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective learning strategies and intervention plans
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports aligned with New York state guidelines
