Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state licensure, or eligibility, as required)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and intervention plans
- Knowledge of special education law and Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student populations and school environments
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic evaluations for students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultative support for students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer expert recommendations
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
- Support teachers with behavioral management strategies and student interventions
- Advocate for the mental health and academic success of all students
