School Psychologist in Shawnee, KS

Your expertise will help evaluate and support students with a range of intense disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or utilize assistive technology (AT) devices to communicate. This assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and offers the rewarding experience of collaborating with dedicated educators while traveling between multiple sites within the district.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification/license
• Previous experience working with K-12 students, especially those with significant physical, communication, or assistive technology needs
• Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessments, and the IEP process
• Comfortable traveling to various schools within the district as needed
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience interpreting and utilizing assessment results to inform interventions and student supports

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person psychological assessments for students with intense disabilities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with staff and caregivers regarding assessment outcomes
• Travel between multiple campus locations to meet student needs as assigned
• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all school, state, and federal regulations
