In this important role, you'll be a vital resource for families, educators, and students, helping foster an inclusive educational environment. You'll primarily administer and interpret psychological evaluations and be a collaborative partner as you travel between several campuses, ensuring each student’s unique needs are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential (or eligibility) for Kansas
- Experience with K-12 student populations, especially with significant needs (non-verbal, physically impaired, AT users)
- Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and interpreting evaluation data
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Comfortable traveling between multiple sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students with intense or unique needs
- Interpret results and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, related service professionals, and families to ensure integrated student support
- Serve as an educational advocate for students requiring assistive devices or special communication approaches
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to state and district guidelines
