An opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support early childhood evaluations within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on conducting assessments for children aged 3 to 5 years as part of the Child Find program. This contract position offers a structured schedule and involves collaboration with educational professionals to support the developmental needs of young learners.
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Setting: Elementary School (Child Find Program)
Duration: Contract through June 9th
Schedule: Approximately 7 paid hours per day, 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (3 days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children aged 3 to 5 years.
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools and procedures consistent with early childhood psychological practices.
- Document findings accurately and prepare reports to guide educational planning and interventions.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to facilitate understanding of developmental needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to state licensing and ethical standards in all evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Maryland School Psychologist License.
- Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly ages 3 to 5 years.
- Strong assessment and report writing skills focused on psychological evaluations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
