Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid state certification as a school psychologist, with additional credentials for 1st–5th grade teaching highly preferred
  • Experience collaborating with elementary students, including those with special education needs (SPED 26/27)
  • Familiarity with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of current best practices in elementary education and school psychology
  • Ability to promote an inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological assessments and interpret results for elementary-aged students
  • Collaborate closely with teachers to support students in 1st to 5th grades, ensuring each child’s learning needs are addressed
  • Participate in the special education process, including IEP meetings and eligibility evaluations
  • Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
  • Develop strategies and interventions to support emotional, behavioral, and academic development
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help shape a holistic approach to education and support
