This contract position centers on providing school psychologist services to a middle school population, collaborating closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver comprehensive care. You’ll co-treat a small caseload, offering both group and individual counseling, and participate actively in the evaluation process and team meetings.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong background in administering educational and psychological assessments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to facilitate group and individual counseling sessions
- Proficiency with team-based service delivery models
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to support IEP and eligibility determinations
- Co-treat small caseloads alongside an SLP, promoting integrated support for students
- Lead small group and individual counseling sessions focused on emotional, behavioral, and social development
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, sharing observations and recommendations
- Maintain accurate and clear documentation of student progress and interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, families, and specialists—to develop and monitor student plans
